AN XI model light cavalry officer's saber. Gilded brass mounting decorated with features. Hunter-style mounting, round cap joined to the hilt. Flat joint bow with two secondary branches, almond-shaped cruise and curved quillon. Leather-covered wooden buttstock with double filigree. Throated curved blade engraved on the back "Mfure de Klingenthal Couleaux frères". Steel scabbard with two brass bracelets, splints present, bowl missing, oxidation. Total length 102 cm.
