Japan, Meiji period Okimono in lacquered wood, ivory and mother-of-pearl inlays, depicting Jurojin, holding a fan decorated with cranes, and a gnarled stick. The headdress and garment are finely decorated with geometric and cloud motifs in gold lacquer and nashi-ji, and the belt is made of aogai mother-of-pearl burgau. Ivory face, hands, feet and fan.
