Paris, Mazot, 1651 [1652]. 1 vol. in-12. Full 18th-century red morocco, gilt framing lace on covers, ornate spine, green morocco title-piece, gilt edges, gold and white dominauté paper endpapers. [3]ff, 50ff, [11]ff. Entirely engraved. A copy of the definitive edition, with a notice to the reader, fine ornamentation to the figures on the liturgy of the Mass, portraits of the Infant Jesus and the Virgin Mary, and an admirable suite devoted to the History of David, consisting of a title and 18 plates of borders with playlets; these elements were not found in the first edition. Engraved title by Jean Collin - Portrait of the dedicatee Charles de L'Aubespine, marquis de Chateauneuf, garde des sceaux, (1580-1653), engraved by Guilliam De Gheyn. Bound in-fine 11 leaves: Approbation de M. l'Abbé de Romigni, en date de 1736 suivi d'un tableau du tems et des festes mobiles et des fêtes de saints. Handwritten ex-dono of Casimir Gorrant, receiver of the hospices in Orléans.
