Artillery officer's sword, late First Empire. Mounted in ebony chased bronze. Pommel in the shape of a stick with lion's head motif. Rounded jointing bow with lion head and frieze decoration. Keyboard in the shape of a shield with crossed cannons and a grenade under a royal crown. Wooden spindle covered with squared ebony plates. Straight blade with blued triangular section, gilded and engraved in third. Leather scabbard with three brass fittings, cracked seam. Total length : 96 cm. Restoration period.
