Set of a saber and a sword. Including -An infantry officer's sword model 1767. Bronze and copper musketeer mount. Fluted olive pommel. Flat joint bow decorated with the line. Quillon in the prolongation in the shape of drop. Fluted body knot fluted with a donkey step. Shell with two symmetrical trays. Wooden spindle covered with a leather filigree. Straight blade with a flat and double edge (oxidation). Missing the tie and without scabbard. Total length : 86 cm. France, Ancien Régime period. -An infantry officer's saber model 1855. Bronze and horn mount. Oval cap decorated with a laurel wreath. Jointed arch joining an openwork plate decorated with flowers. Curved quillon. Horn spindle (missing watermark). Slightly curved blade with gutter, throat and counter-edge, marked "M.F Châtellerault 1870". Steel scabbard with two bracelets and suspension rings. A leather strap and a leather hanger are attached. Oxidations. Total length: 91 cm. France, Second Empire period, Franco-Prussian war.
