[BERRY]. [BRETON (Jules-Louis)]. Correspondence addressed to Jules-Louis Breton (1872-1940). Set of 6 letters and a telegram, period from 1898 to 1911. Jules-Louis Breton was a scientist, self-taught chemist who launched himself into the political battle by creating in 1891, with others, the "group of revolutionary socialist students internationalists of Paris. He was pushed into politics by Edouard Vaillant, a native of Cher. In 1898, Breton was elected deputy in the Cher and joined the socialist movement. - LAS from Paul Desfossé, earthenware manufacturer in St Briac, 3 pp. in-8, dated February 9, 1898. - LAS from Eugène Baudin, 6 pp. in-8, letterhead of the Chamber of Deputies, February 1, 1898. A telegram from E. Baudin to Jules-Louis Breton. - LAS from Henri Sellier, minister and mayor of Suresnes, 3 pp. in-8, August 18, 1907. - Three LAS from Henri Landier, socialist activist and later mayor of Bourges, May, August and October 1911.
