BUDÉ, Guillaume. Parisien consiliarii regii, libellorumq. magistri in praetorio, Annotationes priores in Pandectas. Colonia, Joannis Soteris, 1527. 2 volumes in 1 small in-8. Full contemporary brown morocco, cold-stamped decoration, spine ribbed, black edges. Beautiful engraved frontispiece by Anton Woensam von Worms repeated at the beginning of the second part, historiated lettrines. Printed in italics. The second part bears the title: "Altera editio annotationum in Pandectas". First German edition of the important commentary on jurisprudence by the humanist Guillaume Budé. The first part was published in 1508 and the second in 1526. Manuscript bookplate on the title page. Two handwritten notes in the margins. Spine rubbed with significant leather tears, jaws rubbed.
