Master goldsmith: Guillaume PIGERON received in 1762. Gross weight: 321 g Coat of arms of the PORTALIS family, the most illustrious of which was Jean-Étienne-Marie Portalis (1746-1807), lawyer, statesman, jurisconsult, philosopher of French law, member of the French Academy and Great Eagle of the Legion of Honour, mainly known for having been one of the 4 writers chosen by Bonaparte 1st Consul in 1802 to erect the Civil Code published in 1804.
