VAN GERDINGE FIGURINES.
Set of twenty-three polychrome enameled porcelain subjects on terraces numbered in Arabic numerals on 750, mark on reverse.
On wooden base with nominal cartouche.
Accompanied by their numbered certificate on 750 from the Vangerdinge Collections.
Eighteen of them are from the Grande Armée, including :
- Emperor Napoleon I on horseback in 1805 (n°10/750) ;
- Dragons de la Garde 1806-1814 (n°39/750) ;
- Marin de la Garde Impériale 1808-1815 (n°15/750);
- Sapeur d'infanterie de ligne 1er Empire (n°161/750) ;
- etc.
Includes a 117/1000 scale model of a 12-gun system (Gribeauval system, 1765-1827), n°69/750, on its wooden base with nominal cartridge.
Five subjects are of the French Troupes of the "Ancienne Monarchie", including :
- Rohan Cavalerie 1740 (n°136/750);
- Gendarmes de la Garde ordinaire du roi. Trompette 1740 (n°241/750);
- Maison du Roi, Garde du corps 1715-1750 (n°328/750) ;
- Orleans Dragons 1730 (n°150/750).
A few chips, including one on the Emperor's bicorne. The sailor's feather is missing. Accidents to the sapper's legs and some accessories (powder pouches, bags, etc.).
Thirteen original boxes are included, including the Emperor on horseback (the largest).
