Vietnam, 20th century, Two bronze medals issued at the 1931 Paris Colonial Exhibition. One is inscribed "TONKIN" and features a phoenix on one side, with a young man in traditional costume holding an incense burner on the reverse. The second inscribed "COCHINCHINE" and a roaring tiger's head on one face, the reverse depicting a young woman in traditional dress holding two baskets of her harvest on her shoulder. Weights: 88.3 gr and 102.8 gr Diameter: 5.9 cm N.B. This type of medal was issued to promote the French colonies, highlighting their rich cultural and artistic heritage.
