Extremely rare enameled silver pomander with double compartment and triple interior dividers. Both sides are decorated with allegories, the first depicting an allegory of Charity (woman holding a flaming heart) and the second an allegory of taste and smell (woman holding a bowl of flowers and fruit). Yellow enamel inside. Height: 4 cm Gross weight: 15.2 grams Minor damage, otherwise very good condition. Provenance: Estate of Princess Thérèse de Mérode
