Tibet, 20th century Large gilded bronze group representing the Yamantaka deity, characterized by its large, wrathful buffalo head, multiple faces, arms and legs, standing in pratyalidhasana on a lotiform base. The main hands hold a kartika and a kapala, the others various attributes. Legs trampling bulls, birds and humans, symbolizing spiritual obstacles. Traces of red polychromy. H. 28 cm
