Japan, Edo period, 19th century Wakizashi with shinogi-zukuri blade, hamon, not very legible, of the choji midare type, nakago with a mekugi-ana, signed Yokoyama Kaga (no) suke Fujiwara Sukenaga and dated "un jour faste du 2e mois de la 8th year of Tenppô" (1837) on the omote side, the ura side bearing the inscription Bizen Osafune ju, surmounted by an engraved Kiku. Koshirae with black lacquer scabbard, iron tsuba mokko-gata, shakudo fuchi decorated with gilded vajra, shakudo kashira featuring a dog among chrysanthemums; with signed blade kogatana, and kogai.
