Edition of 200 copies for issues 1 to 6, 250 copies for the others.
10 color plates per issue. In issue 4, a note: "Due to an accident and in order not to delay the publication of the fourth decade, the plate of the Ardetta Sinensis will be attached to one of the following decades". On the other hand, this issue contains 2 plates for the little egret, making a total of 10 plates.
As for the birds, the plates are painted in color on rice paper by Vietnamese artist Dang-ngoc-Quan, with the exception of the following:

Of the 10 plates, 3 are by Dang-ngoc-Quam on rice paper, the other 7 are photos by Duport.

8 plates are on rice paper by Dang-ngoc-Quam. 7 of them have a small photo pasted on, the other two are photos by Duport phot.
- Décades Botaniques n°1. 1906 1 fascicule. 10 plates. Edition of 250 copies.
The plates are signed "Dang-cao-Doa pinxit".

A total of 110 plates laminated for these 11 issues.
No other issues published by this scientific mission to the Institut de France have been found.
Director of the permanent scientific mission in Indochina, he was a professor of zoology, biologist and underwater photographer. Note from the Oceanographic Institute dated September 30, 1936: "Professor at the Bordeaux Faculty of Science; eminent professor with a long scientific record, author of remarkable works".
Considered the first attempt to produce a natural history of Vietnam, the Boutan Mission carried out between 1904 and 1908 by the author of the book is distinguished by the involvement of local artists in the production of the color plates, which oscillate between Far Eastern pictorial tradition and scientific rigor.
Some leaves with small tears in lower margin.
