In all, a frontispiece, 3 dedication pages drawn and engraved by Choffard, 4 fleurons on the titles, 30 vignettes, 1 superb cul-de-lampe at the end of the last volume and 139 figures drawn by Boucher, Eisen, Gravelot, Leprince, Monnet, Moreau... engraved by Baquoy, Basan, Binet, Duclos, de Ghendt... "Superb work by publisher Basan and engraver Le Mire . It is one of the most gallantly illustrated of the entire century". Some foxing, mainly on the serpents. Some serpents are missing.
