[LA CHAU LE BLOND]. Description des principales pierres gravées du cabinet de S.A.S Monseigneur le Duc d'Orléans. Paris, La Chau et Blond, and Chez Pissot, 1780 - 1784. 2 vols. small in-folio. Contemporary full calf, ornate ribbed spine, red morocco titles and brown morocco endpapers. First edition. With a frontispiece by Cochin, a title vignette, 179 plates and 59 large culs-de-lampe and headpieces drawn and engraved by Saint-Aubin. Complete with plates. In volume I, 102 plates numbered 1 to 97 (3 plates 35, 3 plates 39 and 2 plates 78) and in volume II, 77 plates numbered 1 to 76 (2 plates 2). Copy does not contain the suite of Spintrian medals that is sometimes included. Rubbing to binding. Cracks and stains at top of one spine.
