Beautiful book decorated with a frontispiece-frontispiece by Martinet, repeated once, a title vignette, a bandeau, a lettrine, 4 large hors-texte figures by Martinet and a cul-de-lampe, plus 25 leaves of engraved music at the end of the volume. According to Rahir, quoted by Cohen, the engravings are actually by Gravelot and not Martinet. Binding rubbed, split at upper spine, epidermal wear to covers, spines and boards.
