Bound in 16th-century parchment, boards decorated with cold-engraved biblical vignettes: Adam and Eve, the Evangelists, Adam and Eve, with cold-engraved scrolls, traces of period metal clasps, modern havana leather spine. Some fine engraved lettering. Printer's mark in medallion on title page and last leaf. Handwritten bookplate of a Carmelite convent on the title page. Handwritten notes on back flyleaf. Beautiful binding with historiated boards contemporary with the text. Second board slightly rubbed. One of the clasp fasteners is missing. Marginal staining at end of volume.
