Nanjing, late 19th century, Pair of baluster-shaped vases, in beige crackle-glazed ceramic, decorated in Famille rose et verte enamels with equestrian jousts. The rim and base of the neck are decorated with brown bisque friezes. Four chilong and two Buddhist lions in relief complete the ornamentation. Glaze chips, firing defects. H. 30 cm (restorations to the neck)
