Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) Large baluster vase on pedestal, in bronze with a beautiful red-brown patina, the body decorated with two large medallions, decorated in relief with birds of paradise on cherry blossoms and two dragons on either side. The foot is decorated in cartouches with Buddhist lions surmounted by a frieze of lotus petals. The neck features stylized cicadas. The handles spat out by kirin heads. H.81 cm
