China, 20th century Set of 30 teapots, including 28 in yixing, of various shapes, including one in the form of a fish with its young, squash and foliage, one in the color imitation of green patinated bronzes, one with the lid formed by a toad, one in the form of a fruit surmounted by a dormouse, one in the form of bamboo sections, or frogs on lotus leaves; a blue-white porcelain teapot in the shape of a star; and a bronze teapot featuring a basket with ribbon, with a reclining young woman forming the lid. With workshop marks on the bases after contemporary artists (Wang Jianlan, Jiang Rong...), Republic period (Zhang Hedi, Wu Manbin...) and apocryphal signatures of artists under the Ming and Qing dynasties (Meng Chen, whose name has been kept to describe a type of teapot shape, Shi Dabin, whose father was one of the greatest teapot artists).
