Cambodia, Grand-croix du Royaume du Cambodge, in silver worked with diamond points, decorated with a central medallion of the royal coat of arms in slight relief on a blue enameled background, accompanied by its red cotton ribbon with green edging. Mounted as a brooch. Marked Size: 9.7 x 7.8 cm Weight: 84.8 g Provenance: Small document inside the box, mentioning that the medal was awarded to the Secretary General and then Governor General Maurice G. from 1928 to 1934. N.B. The Royal Order of Cambodia was founded in 1864 by King Norodom I to reward civil and military services. It became a French colonial order from 1896 to 1948, then a Cambodian national order in August 1948.
