Vase with ribbed, hot-modeled body. Produced in satin-finish violet, orange and white multi-layered glass. Marquetry decoration of butterfly flights, finely chased on a partly acid-etched background with intercalary oxide inclusions, and bears an engraved inscription "Commencer sur la terre / L'vivre dans la cieux / Méry" (chip on the base corner restored, surface bubble burst restored, tiny chip on the neck).
