Paperback, printed green covers. 28pp. First edition of this rare booklet printed in Saint-Denis, Reunion Island: on August 27, 1875, the Gros Morne, which rises to 3019 meters, collapsed on one of its slopes. In less than five minutes, the Grand Sable islet in the Salazie cirque was wiped off the map of Reunion Island. Complete with fold-out map of the Grand Sable valley at the time of the commission's visit. Drawn by M. Déramond and lithographed by A. Roussin, and especially the three photographs on albumen paper laminated on the leaves and captioned on the facing leaf. These are photographs by A. Roussin after drawings by M. P.
