This is the only edition of this beautiful album, entirely lithographed, including a title-frontispiece, 2 dedication leaves, 62 plates printed on a tinted background illustrating the campaign of the Tsar's army against the Turks in 1828-1829, each accompanied by an explanatory note. Here, plates only, without notes. Incomplete.The print run of this album is said to have been limited to around 100 copies, all of them hors commerce. Heavy dampstaining, corners and covers dulled, scratches on boards.
