Paris, Compagnie des libraires associés au Livre de la Semaine sainte, 1688. 1 vol. in-8. Contemporary tan morocco with fanfare, gilt arms at center of boards, ornate spine, gilt title. First edition. The work is illustrated with 2 hors-texte intaglio engravings by J. B. Scotin. Copy in havana morocco with the later arms of Marie-Josèphe de Saxe (1731-1767). She was the second wife of Louis, dauphin of France, son of Louis XV, and the mother of the last three kings of the eldest branch of the Bourbons (Louis XVI, Louis XVIII and Charles X). O.H.R, pl. 2526, irons no. 2 and no. 9. Lacking at lower head, jaws cracked, wear at corners, title page restored, tear to hors-texte with lack.
