Attributed to Théodore BALLU and Edouard de PERTHES (1817 - 1885 and 1833 - 1898) Paris City Hall Project for the Arts et Métiers Pair of drawings, black pencil Size: 17 x 22 cm One annotated at top Project by Ms Ballu et Perthes The other at bottom left, les Arts et Métiers Competition winners Théodore Ballu and Edouard de Perthes collaborated between 1873 and 1882 on the reconstruction of the Paris City Hall. The Hôtel de Ville had been burnt down during the Commune. Ballu and Perthes chose to rebuild the central Renaissance section identically, enlarging and raising it.
