Royal Gendarmerie saber model 1816 Bronze mounting decorated with features. Oval pomegranate cap. Joining bow with three secondary branches joining the plate ending in a curved quillon. DUC hallmark on frame. Blade by Couleaux frères in Klingenthal. Gorge and gutter with chased cartouche under crown, the interior engraving has been ground. Without scabbard, oxidation. Total length: 105 cm. France, Period. A model 1864-82 dragon officer's saber without scabbard.
