Meeting of two swords. Comprising: AN XI model light cavalry officer's saber. Gilded brass mounting decorated with features. Hunter-style mounting, round cap joined to the hilt. Flat joint bow with two secondary branches, almond-shaped cruise and curved quillon. Leather-covered wooden buttstock with double filigree. Curved blade with two grooves, counter-edge and carp tongue. Without scabbard, oxidation. Total length 97.5 cm. France, First Empire, Restoration period. German officer's saber. Brass mounting. Round cap assembled to the hilt. Flat jointing bow with three secondary branches and curved quillon. Shagreen-covered wooden spindle. Fine curved blade with throat. Iron scabbard with three brass fittings and two rings (probably later iron). Total length: 95cm. Last third of the 19th century.
