Chine, XVIIIe A pair of white porcelain baluster-shaped covered vases, decorated in blue underglaze with four ruyi heads containing blossoming peony flowers and foliate scrolls, the rim of the neck adorned with a lotus garland. Four rhombuses in bloom around the base complete the ornamentation. The handle of the lid takes the form of a lotus bud. Leaf mark under the bases. (accidents and restoration to the lid, chips on the heels, firing defects). Total height with lid 41 cm. Provenance : Bordeaux private collection. Old label M. F. LANGWEIL.
