Japon, période Meiji(1868-1912) Two-part bronze baluster vase, resting on a quadripod base spat out by zoomorphic heads decorated with a roaring dragon above two minogamous turtles, a tiger chasing two hares moving among stylized clouds on a spiral background. The neck opening, top of the body and base are decorated with garlands of ruyi heads, foaming waves and stylized lion heads. Pierced base, Shoka Ken mark under the base. H. 48 cm.
