CHINE, période Jiaqing (1796-1820) Porcelain and Famille rose enamel covered hu vase with a wide body on a pedestal, decorated in two medallions with birds and phoenixes among chrysanthemums and peonies on a turquoise background decorated with the eight Buddhist emblems, lotus flowers, pomegranates and longevity peaches. The neck is adorned with a frieze of grecques and a garland of ruyi heads in copper-red enamel. The handle of the lid takes the shape of a double longevity peach. A frieze of stylized lotus petals completes the ornamentation. H. 32.5 cm (chips and scratches).
