Sword of peer of France. Mounting in gilded bronze, chased and mother-of-pearl. Crown type pommel. Guard with two straight quillons with lions' heads and body knot with the arms of France under a royal crown. Wooden spindle covered with mother-of-pearl plates set in two plates decorated with friezes and acanthus leaves. Straight blade with median edge engraved in thirds. Wooden scabbard with three finely chased brass fittings decorated with acanthus leaves and spider webs, the leather is missing. The cap button is a model of the empanelled helmet. Total length : 79 cm. France, Restoration period.
