Sumptuous flintlock pommel gun by LEOPOLD BECHER. Turntable transformed with percussion engraved with decoration of an assault of cavalry during a seat. Barrel with double register with sides then round, it comprises two punches in cartridges doubled brass. One rectangular representing a quadruped animal, the second "L BECHER" under crown. Stock in mahogany engraved with decorations of interlaces. All trimmings richly and finely chiseled on amatite background. The counterplate figures a shock of cavalry, subject taken again on the circumference of the cap with a central mascaron. The trigger guard is decorated with a man wearing a tricorn reloading a rifle, accompanied by his dog. Thumb piece chiseled with a glory. Rod reported. Good and firm mechanism. Total length : 47 cm Leopold Becher or Becker, arms manufacturer of Karlsbad, Bohemia, Moravia from 1720 to 1750. He worked for the Duke and General Johan Georg Christian Lobkowitz.
