Officer's sword of the Empire of Austria-Hungary. Bronze mounting. Oval cap assembled at the ferrule, with foliage decoration. Openwork joint arch widening into a shell. The shell is decorated with foliage and the imperial double-headed eagle holding a sword and a globe, with the Habsburg coat of arms and a collar of Grand Master of the Golden Fleece. Curved quillon in the form of a drop in the continuity of the shell. Wooden spindle covered with stingray with a brass filigree. Slightly curved mirror-polished blade with gutter. Traces of oxidation. Hardened leather scabbard with three gilt brass fittings, richly and finely chiseled with foliage decorations and the imperial crown surmounted by the letters "FJ1" for François Joseph I. A ring of suspension in brass. Total length: 86 cm. Empire of Austria-Hungary, second half of the 19th century.
