Naval officer saber model 1837. Bronze and horn mount. Oval cap assembled at the ferrule, decorated with an edge axe, pennant, laurel wreath, ears of wheat. Pierced joint bow (for the passage of the strap), chiseled grotesque decorations joining the openwork plate with decorations of a navy anchor, oak leaves and ears of wheat. Horn spindle, missing watermark. Slightly curved blade with groove and gutter, marked on the back "CoulauxCie Klingenthal". Leather scabbard (accident) with three brass fittings, richly and finely chiseled with decorations of naval anchor, trophies around the navigation. Total length : 89 cm. France, second half of the 19th century.
