Infantry officer saber model 1855 with its carrying case. Brass mounting. Oval cap with laurel wreath, filleted joint arch, openwork plate with flower decoration, drop-shaped quillon. Horn spindle (missing watermark, accident). Slightly curved blade with groove and counter edge from Coulaux in Klingenthal. Iron scabbard with a strap. Some oxidation. Total length: 92cm. France, Second Empire Third Republic period.
