Set of three sabers. - Lot 142
Set of three sabers. Including two model 1790 infantry lighter sabers. One-piece cast bronze mounts; grooved spindle; flat joint arc; straight quillon in extension. The first blade slightly curved, one with groove and gutter (pitting). Leather sheath (cracked) with two brass fittings. The second curved blade with gutter engraved "TG" under royal crown. Leather scabbard (cracked) with two brass fittings. A remnant of the scabbard is attached. France, French Revolution period. And including a lighter saber type Bavarian artillery dated 1864 with leather scabbard and brass fittings.
