An important ormolu mantel clock, representing Aristotle draped and leaning against a stele holding in his left hand a parchment inscribed "happiness born of virtue". The base is richly decorated with frieze, foliage and garlands of ivy. The feet with palmettes and feline paws. The guilloche dial indicates the hours in Roman numerals. Restoration period 52 x 56 x 22 cm (glass of the rear bezel cracked)
