JAPON, période EDO, XIXe siècle Gold lacquer Suzuribako, the lid decorated in hira and takamaki-e gold and silver, and kirigane, of a temple with several pavilions among pine trees, mountains in the distance; the reverse side of the lid decorated with a lively lakescape of boat and pavilions on a nashiji background; the interior in nashiji lacquer, with several compartments, containing a double-sided inkstone, one side lacquered nashiji. A part of a level box and a set of two brushes, a point and a knife, with fundame lacquer handles (exterior tarnished and soiled, the edge of the lid with wear and lacquer gaps, base scratched; the compartmentalized element damaged) are attached.
