CHINE, XXe siècle Large ink loaf of a scholar illustrated with calligraphies describing the qualities of Indian ink and the strength of Dharmachakra which can fight against all evil wills. On the inner wall a deity depicted with calligraphy questioning the thought of Dharma to stay close to the Buddha. On the side of the ink loaf a poem also about Chinese ink after Wei Guangwei (1570-1627), who was a teacher of the emperor's son in the Ming Dynasty. He supported the ennuques against the emperor who took away his titles. Dim. 27 x 14 x 6 cm
