CARTIER, Paris Tonneau model. Circa 1910. Ladies' platinum 850 mm and gold 750 mm (back) wristwatch, tonneau-shaped case, the bezel set with eight-eighths-cut diamonds, silvered dial (old restorations, some missing), black enameled Arabic numerals and railroad markers, blued steel spade hour and spear minute hands, yellow gold screw-down caseback numbered 10312 (as is the case) and 21139, oval movement signed European Watch & Clock Co. Crown beaded and set with a rose-cut diamond. Wristband with hand-drilled platinum links and articulated fully set with old-cut and eight-cut diamonds on geometric motifs and attachments enhanced with lines of three old-cut diamonds in a closed setting. Flexible retractable ratchet in platinum, two safety clasps probably brought back later. Gross weight: 33.3 g; length: 17 cm.
