Magnificent gold and silver brooch set composed of three motifs in the shape of a wedding coat of arms, two of which are pear-shaped, each centered by an emerald in the shape of an old cut, stepped, in two settings of old cut diamonds, the most important one in a river, the high motif composed of an octagonal emerald in the shape of a stepped, less old cut, surmounted by a knot entirely set with old cut diamonds System for wearing it as a screw brooch, hinged ring for a clasp and rat tail to hold a low pattern. Probably French work, circa 1890. This jewel was probably improved by the addition of an octagonal emerald in a yellow gold setting superimposed on the original silver setting. Size : 5,3 x 5,2 cm. Gross weight : 24,7 g. Estimated weight of the octagonal emerald : about 7,70 cts. Estimated weight of the pear emeralds : 4,65 cts (left) and 4,55 cts (right) Total estimated weight of emeralds : 16.90 cts. Gemological report GEM Paris n°20221976722-1 of October 24, 2022. The calculation of the weight of the emeralds was made in support of the related GIA work. Dimensions of emeralds: octagon: 11.6 x 11.4 x 9.7 mm; pear left face: 12.8 x 9.7 x 4.9 mm; pear right face: 13 x 9.3 x 5 mm.
