[MARINE]. An Abstract of the Journal of the H.G. Ship Marquiss of Wellington. Outward Bound. 1829 In English, manuscript on paper London (?), 1829 [and 1851 additions on board the Schooner "Claymore"]. In-4, 46 ff, written in light ink, additions in 1851 in darker ink. Bound in hard vellum. Dimensions : 190 x 230 mm. The "Marquis of Wellington" was a ship belonging to the British East India Company for which the ship made nine voyages. The 1829 voyage was from London to Bengal. Following the "logbook", a certain A. Miles copied literary texts: "Poetry. Southampton Election 1812"; "To Andrew Launders Esquire"; "Epitaph for the Baron de Rolle 1814"; "To Robert Henry Miles on first going to school"; "Under the portrait of Andrew Launders".
