First edition of one of the main works of Carlo Sigonio (1520-1584), a humanist from Modena, dedicated to the history of the Western Roman Empire. Some old handwritten notes in the margins. Handwritten bookplate on the title page: "Loisel/Ant; Rhedoni" (?) Binding damaged.
