First edition of Antoine Pecquet's translation. > Copy with the arms of Louise Adélaïde de Bourbon-Conti, known as Mademoiselle La-Roche-Sur-Yon. Judging by the number of volumes that we have seen decorated with her arms, this princess must have had an important library. Count Alphonse de la Guère with handwritten bookplate on the back of a flyleaf. Barbier, I, 266. O.H.R. pl. 2643, n°3. Corners rubbed, lacks at the headpieces, rubs at the spines. ATTACHED PUFENDORF, Samuel. Introduction to the History of the Principal States of Europe. Amsterdam, at the expense of the Society, 1710. 4 volumes in 2 vols. in-12. Full contemporary tan calf, gilt arms in the center of the boards, ornate ribbed spine, red morocco title and greeves. Engraved portrait and title-frontispiece, engraved vignette repeated on the title pages. > To the arms of Boyer de Crémilles, born in 1700. He made his career in the army. O.H.R. pl. 2147, n°1. Rubbing to the headpieces, beginning of cracks to the spines, slight spalling and staining on the boards.
