MOLIERE. Works of Molière. New edition. With very beautiful figures in intaglio. Amsterdam - Leipzig, Arkstrée & Merkus, 1750. 4 vol. small in-12. Half brown calf, spine ribbed, pink paper title-piece. Decorated with a frontispiece, a title vignette repeated on each volume, a portrait of the author and 34 hors-texte engravings by J. Punt. Missing in the margin of page 115 of volume II, without affecting the text. Bump to the corners. Attached : THOMPSON. The Seasons, poem translated from English. Paris, Chaubert - Hérissant, 1759. 1 vol. in-8. Full contemporary red morocco, gilt fillets with corner fleurons framing the boards, smooth ornate spine, green morocco title-piece, gilt edges. Title, four hors-texte and four culs-de-lampe by Eisen engraved by C. Baquoy, Ex-libris A. Van der Leeuw Corners dulled, traces of moisture in the volume. Restoration to the upper corner of a few leaves.
