Paris, Compagnie des libraires associés au Livre de la Semaine sainte, 1688. 1 vol. in-8. Contemporary tan morocco with fanfare, gilt arms in the center of the boards, ornate spine, gilt title. First edition. The work is illustrated with 2 hors-texte engraved in intaglio by J. B. Scotin. Copy in havana morocco with the later arms of Marie-Josèphe de Saxe (1731-1767). She was the second wife of Louis, dauphin of France, son of Louis XV, and the mother of the last three kings of the elder branch of the Bourbons (Louis XVI, Louis XVIII and Charles X). O.H.R, pl. 2526, irons no. 2 and no. 9. Lacking at the lower headpiece, bites cracked, wear at the corners, title page restored, tear to a hors-texte with lack.
