CHINE pour le Vietnam Suite of seven octagonal porcelain bowls of different sizes decorated on the outer wall with eight medallions representing dragons scrolled in blue underglaze, framed by two friezes of ruyi. Four medallions are surmounted by a THIÊU TRI NIÊN TAO character. Emperor Thiêu Tri (1807-1847) was the third sovereign of the Nguyen dynasty. He ascended the throne in 1841, until 1847. 19th century Diameter : from 13,5 cm to 19 cm (a tiny chip on 4 bowls). A similar model in the collections of the Royal Museum of Mariemont (Belgium)
