Two large circular porcelain bowls decorated in blue underglaze with a pentadactyl dragon among the clouds in search of the sacred pearl opposite a dragon emerging from the waves.
On the reverse side, four-character mark THIÊU TRI NIÊN TAO. Emperor Thiêu Tri (1807-1847) was the third ruler of the Nguyen dynasty. He ascended the throne in 1841, until 1847.
